interesting the YVB perhaps gets jealous of the sunbirds' daily diet of nectars so it wasnt to grow its beak long too.

Nice shot sir Boy. @600mm and still the bird is far, it is but a proof that birds in negros are really putting some distance with people around them.

sweeet light indeed! great shot Thanks JP! Sweet golden light + ISO100....SUPERB! Thanks Ed. Last sortie, I was trying to force myself to use the lowest ISO so I get a more sturdy pixel for eventual processing without having to lust for expensive, more capable gears. And I got great results despite the fact that I got more blurries. The shooting was a bit difficult than my usual ISO320 especially when light gets dimmer but I guess with more experiments, i'll get use to doing ISO100 shots. This BCNH reminds me of the "Ugly Duckling". When they are still inmature they don't look at all like a BCNH with their feathers covered with brown stripes on a white body. But when they mature thier color changes into a beautiful blue with glowing red eyes. You have captured a beautiful bird. Well done Toto. Mabuhay. Thanks Sir Ely. That is true. The Imm BCNH are really not photogenic birds. I was trying to find immature ones last weekend but there were only too few of them and they were almost in the photogenic stage of their lives Love the sweet light and composition. Thanks sir Rey for the visit and the appreciation.

This comes off Edu's wet lands. For a few minutes, the sweet golden light peeped through the clouds and allow us to shoot these beautiful herons. Black-crowned Night Heron, Edu's Wet Lands - Valenzuela Canon 50D, EF 400mm f5.6L, Manfrotto 755XB/Gimbal, 1x2 pounds "rice" bag Shot @ f8, 1/640", ISO100, 40% pixels wasted
