Sorry guys, but obsessions are difficult to cure so I persist in posting my recent and not so recent captures of my favorite bird- the kingfishers. Urban Kingfishers taken at QC Common Kingfisher Canon 40D FD 300mm 2.8L 2x FD canon TC 1/60 f 5.6 on tripod Canon EOS 1d MkII 300mm f4 2x TC 1/1200 f8 Iso 640 handheld canon 1d MK2 canon 300 mm f4 IS 2x kenko TC 1/1000 f8 iso 500 handheld White-collared Kingfisher Canon 40D FD 300mm 2.6l 2x TC 1/1000 f6.3 iso 500 on tripod Lastly here's a pic which i forgot to post of the male IBKF in one of the San Pablo lakes Canon 40D 300mm f4 IS f5.6 1/500 iso 800 Cheers Chito

There is nothing to apologize about. Kingfishers are among my favorites. They are so small and yet so colorful. They have the skill to dive into the water and capture their prey. They have to work practically the whole day for they have to eat 60% of their body weight daily in order to live. Some of the young ones drown trying to get their food. Its not an easy life for the Kingfishers. I admire their skill and beauty. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Kingfishers. Well done Chito. Mabuhay.
