Nice shot but I missed your fencing birds. You should go out more often and have fun with us. Well done Paolo. Mabuhay.

Nice shot but I missed your fencing birds. You should go out more often and have fun with us. Well done Paolo. Mabuhay. Here ya go. ;D Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/640) Aperture: f/5.6 ISO Speed: 640 EXIFFramed as is, no cropping. To improve the ^^^ shot I would've wanted the shutter to be at least 1/1250.

Thanks Glenn! Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1250) Aperture: f/5.6 ISO Speed: 640 EXIFFramed as is, no cropping. I call this the "wrestler". If I was to redo the ^^^^ shot I would stop down between f/8 & f/11 because the beak and back feathers were blurred out. I would also have framed this as a portrait so I see the bird's feet.

This juvie is the one that threw me off. Usually the plumage turns to adult first and then the eyes. This one, already started to molt into adult plumage starting from the head But here in Paolo's pic, the eyes are already red. I am confused now.

Maybe this is a case of hormones from human activities affecting the growth of pubescent night herons? My juvenile may be a victim of too colorful slider action?
