@ Mastah Romy .... Thanks . How I wish I have a 600 mm with 1.4TC to capture it almost full frame. he he he. I have to be creative next time in building a hide in the area and hoping to capture other species in the area.

Nice shot sir Boy. @600mm and still the bird is far, it is but a proof that birds in negros are really putting some distance with people around them.

I have always like Kingfishers and this picture gives a lot of details of how a CKF looks like. With your picture I can see a lot of distinguishing difference from the Blue Eared Kingfisher so that I can now readily identtify the two birds. Well done Boy. Mabuhay.

I like the pose in this picture, very dramatic.
7D plus 300mm 2.8 just like Sylvia's rig. Its interesting that you are using a gimbal with the monopod. Sylvia went with a Markins ballhead on her tripod to save weight. She likes it.

I using Manfrotto video monopod with 3 small feet attach to a Gimal. It's fluid ... You should try it
