Wow. This is one gifted bird. He almost had all the feather features most birds should have. Great shot Ariel!

Super sharp pictures. Beautiful shots. No need for long lenses when you can get this close. Well done Toto. Mabuhay. That is true sir Ely. This is one instance where I would desire a shorter lens so I can fit the bird in the frame. My other shots are way too close to just a few inches beyond my MFD and yet the bird just stares at me. I cant move back or i'll fall in the lilies Amazing experience for me. I like the second picture. The focus on the bird and the blur in front and the rear makes it pop out so well. Great color and detail as well. Thanks Tonji. Was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time when the bird allowed me to shot a bit low. The second pic became an instant favorite. Well done. Thanks Ariel for spending precious time viewing these shots. Love the melting foreground and background, Toto! Thanks Ka Mastah. Your comments are very well appreciated. You influence on metling xgrounds has grown strong in every opportunity I got. Thanks for visiting and appreciating Doc William. Haven't seen you post birds in a while.

Ka-daku! I Love the low low angle shots. Were you in the wet? Thanks Paolo for liking the shots. No paolo, wasnt. was almost on all four though. hehehe.. No clear shot of Haribon here too! But at least now we can be stamped as "Philippine-bird" photographers Thanks again for bringing us there in your wet land. I thought I saw a clear shot of the Haribon. Btw, I replaced the shot i posted first to something different as so we dont post similar frames

This morning, Doc Mando and I went to Edu's wet lands in Valenzuela and checked-out his pets for some full framers. We weren't disappointed and the birds wore their best dresses for some full framers. But first, I'd like to thank Edu for bringing us to the site and treated us to a very hearty lunch of laing, pinirito na tilapia, bagoong sa kamatis and inihaw na baboy. Sarap bro! So, these are my fave of the bunch. It was too tough to nail a clear shot of our national bird. I think Edu got a better shot I hope he post it as soon as possible.

Very nice set sir Ely. I can only imagine the shooting conditions based on the info. seems the birds are not farther than before. Hope to go back to that bird paradise sometime soon.
