i had fun rey... they were very cooperative... thanks again!
subic seem to be their favorite breeding place edwin. i believe they come to subic yearly... meron din yata sa sta. rosa... but i have not visited that area for birding yet.
thanks mark! where have you been hiding? are you on migration, or in breeding season, hehehe... cheers mark!
ely, you are absolutely right! the colors are just so nice. would have to go back for those central feathers!!! they look different without them. hehehe...

you're right adri! didn't realize that until you pointed it out... i had to cross reference with plain idol's recent shots of the bee-eaters in flight.
any particular reason why they would not have the central tail feathers?

I had a chance to pass by Subic last Friday on my way to our company outing. I happened to have my gear with me... all pictures were shot using car window support. Thanks for the directions Rey! thanks rey! this moorhen came out feeding at just about the right time, before the sun got harsh. alain, those are vegetation blocking full view of the bird. was hiding in tall grass to pull off this shot. unfortunately, there were some tall grass about a meter from where i dug in for the ambush.
