Great set! Having all those birds in one place is unusual and makes for an interesting series. Plus the birds are all photographed nicely. I see there were lighting challenges but you overcame them, great details for iso2000.

Babbler! Cool. Great capture! Ah Neon, you are carrying around your 600mm f4 I think that makes it a birding trip. I hope you get more lifers while you are there.

Some birds you see often so its easier to take a good shoot because you can get lots of chances. But for this is one of those you don't encounter that often. When I just started bird photography I saw this bird in Puerto Galera. I had a Nikon and a 500mm mirror lens. All I got were blurred leaves. Haha. These pics are keepers.

Great captures, shot wide open cool. I like the thin DOF effect and the sharpness.

I took these pictures May 16. I first saw the nest April 12. I would always walk to the the nest and see how these guys were progressing. I think they got used to me. After more than a month of watching, these guys were already too big to both fit in the nest. It was getting broken already. The favorite food of these guys are cicadas. You can hear them all around our garden. So I think its a plentiful food source. I tried to time the first pic so I could get the picture of the cicada being fed to the fledglings. It usually happens so fast that I miss the moment. But I was lucky with this shot. Canon 5DMk2, Canon 500mm, 1.4x, 1/320, f8, ISO 400, tripod These are their last pics as they finally flew away the next day. Canon 5DMk2, Canon 500mm, 1.4x, 1/250, f10, ISO 400, tripod

I have very little experience photographing button quails, i only tried three times. Man they are always moving....away! Any photo of them is always cool. The first quail grabbed my attention. Nice one.

Very nice. I never have good luck with Munias. These are great, plus complete documentation with front, back and side views. Cool.
