It only has a VGA and Digital Video Input. I don't know if it's compatible with a Mac. :-)

Ayayayayay!!!! Again, ayayayayayay!!!! If only all the other birdnuts who have not yet decided to use the IPS Monitor can see what I can see with these images, their jaws would drop too! The birds all seem like they've been captured in 3D - the color and shadow/highlight gradations are so subtle, but clear, that the images take on a whole new dimension!! It's AMAZING!
My goodness, even the group shot looks more vibrant, and the moon, WOW! Details that I have never seen before just pop out!!
Folks, you gotta experience IPS technology. My AOC IPS monitor is perhaps the cheapest (in price), but believe me, you won't regret it!
And don't forget how much this single piece of equipment can really help to improve your Post Processing! I urge you all to go out and take a look at an IPS Monitor!!

Ka Mastah Romy informed Nilo and myself about the lack of information regarding the Philippine Trogon's nest, so I'm submitting this photo for our records: Location: Bilar, Bohol, Philippines Taken on: July 30, 2010 at 12.46pm GMT+8 Short Description: The "nest" is actually a hollowed-out portion off the top of a dead tree stump. This one was barely five feet off ground level, and evidently it is quite cramped. One can clearly see the Trogon's tail sticking out of the nest. My friend Osawa actually peeked inside the nest and saw a single egg, I think. We observed both Male and female taking turns in incubating the egg, though. Correction: Osawa saw 2 eggs

To ADD to the Lizard and Monkey (beautiful shot and pleasing composition), I have this Horse-drawn Carriage composed as if it's on it's way out. Why? Because the theme was "Making Way for the Future" - which leads me to introduce another aspect of photography: The Artist's Interpretation - how one presents an idea when faced with restrictions in subject matter.

My office monitor cannot give justice to this photo. It is actually very well exposed, despite the extreme back-lighting! Well done, Rey!

After Ka Mastah's Judging duties (Canon Photomarathon), we took him to Jugan for some birding action, and we were surprised to see this Black-tailed Godwit all by it's lonesome in the middle of one of the ponds there! The lighting was terrible, and the bird was some distance off, so I had to use 2 pcs. of the Kenko 1.4X TC's to get more pixels out of the scene. The shot is good enough for our records - this is the first time this bird has been sighted in that area: Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa) Taken on October 17, 2010 at 3.00pm at Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu. EOS 5D Mark II; 0.017 sec (1/60); f/6.7; 400 mm + 2 1.4X TC's; ISO 400; Exposure Bias +2 EV (Backlighted) A Rear View: Side and Front View:

NOPE! When I saw Ka Romy's latest catch, I thought it was this bird, but of course, it isn't. It's an Immature Mangrove Blue Flycatcher and I just processed it to see the similarities. Hehehe. This photo was actually taken a while back - June 18, 2010 at 4.10pm at Nug-as, Alcoy, during Ka Ely T's Cebu visit :-) Canon EOS 450D; 0.005 sec (1/200); f/5.6; 400 mm + 1.4X TC; ISO 400; Tripod and remote shutter controller used.

I just cropped and re-sized this photo for identification, so pardon the quality. This bird got trapped inside the butterfly enclosure over at "Simply Butterflies" in Bohol and I could not definitely ID it. We let it go as soon as I got the photo, but it's still around there, according to the owner, Christy; Taken on June 27, 2010 at 9.40am GMT+8 at Bilar, Bohol; Canon EOS 5D Mark II; 0.002 sec (1/500); f/5.6; 400 mm ISO 1600; +1/2 EV

Spent some quality time with Ka Mastah at Jugan last Sunday. Here's a shot I took while waiting for the birds to come by: Canon EOS 450D; 0.011 sec (1/90); f/5.6; 400 mm; ISO 400
