Hello Everyone, Sharing some photos of "the regulars" for Negros Oriental birding. These colorful sunbirds bird will always show up rain or shine. Taking a decent photo can be a challenge depending on the lighting condition. I am happy with these shots taken just before we left the site.

I wonder why this bird is called a White-Eye when it has no white eye ring. I think we are not alone with this and more question on the name, Ramon. Mindanao Ibon should be a good fitting name.

Wow, great photo. I've been to Kitanglad 3 times and have only seen it twice. Either I have useless blurs or shadows of this bird. It has not seen fit to pose for me. Nice to see some good pics of this bird. I've seen this bird many times as well but this is my first time to capture an image.

It was indeed a thrilling experience, Ely. Imagine seeing an oversized white-eye with no white-eyes Some times it makes you wonder how they give names to these birds. LOL. It's equally interesting to know how the birders managed reconcile names without the Internet or relational databases

This should be a milestone in local birding documentation. The nests are not that easy to spot among the reeds and vegetation. I hope the pair would be able to complete the cycle considering the ever changing environmental conditions in the place aside from human activities. Thanks for sharing your experience with this bird, Tateo-san.

Excellent story telling with your photos, Tateo-san. You made a common white bird like the Little Egret very interesting and pleasing to the observer. The portraits of the egret in breeding plumage are my favs among the lot. Thanks for sharing.
