Hi everyone! I'm back after missing in action for a while. I finally got a decent shot of these elusive little kingfishers early this morning at one of my little secret spots. The light (or lack of) was challenging so I had to improvise with some slow shutter technique and manual focus. 0"4 sec is really pushing my luck but I managed to pull it off. lol The Little Kingfisher is the smallest KF in Australia and the second smallest in the world. They are about the size of a finch or mannikin. Canon 7D EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS + 2x TC Tripod + M393 Gimbal Remote Cable Portable Hide ISO 400 f8 0"4 sec

Looks like a small collared kingfisher... cute bird in a good perched pose. Thanks for sharing.
