Romy, thanks for the directions to the gull!
This bird was easy to shoot. You would have had a field day.

SIBERIAN RUBYTHROATLuscinia calliopeApo Reef, Mindoro Jan 26, 2015 This bird was fearless and curious. I was on my stomach on the sand trying to get an eye level photo and it just walked toward me. Wonderful chance to get close up and take a good photo. I suspect it is just passing thru the reef. There is no fresh water on the reef so it will probably fly off soon. Canon 7dmk2, Canon 300mm f2.8, 1,4xtc handheld on the sand 1/100, f7.1, iso 400

Only other starling I know that looks like an AGS is the Short-tailed Starling. But thats found above 900meters. I've only seen them in Mindanao and they have smaller beaks. AGS for me also Prop.

Tateo these are fantastic.
When you took us around Alcoy I missed this bird. Sylvia got it but not as close as these ones. Nice.

Prop first time I went with you to Ka Intsik we went around looking for a Chinese Egret. If I remember right a Chinese Egret has the gape line finishing just below the center of the eye. Glad to see your photos again.

Great shot William. I usually have a pair of sunbirds in my window. A woodpecker would be great.

Very nice photos of this bird Ely. The light is very nice and it is so close.
I've struggled with harsh light the times I have encountered this bird.

LITTLE EGRETEgretta garzettaManila Bay December 5, 2014 This is a full frame photo of a Little Egret. I was on a small boat nice and low over the water almost the same level as this egret. Speed is a little high because of the rocking motion of the boat. Canon 7dmk2, Canon 600mm f4, 1.4xtc, 1/2000, f6.3, ISO 1250
