Look, see. Photographed this within Ka Intsik's farm in Pinagbayanan, San Juan, Batangas. Two of them within the fishponds among some 250 Philippine Ducks, 400 Black-winged Stilts, 4 Tufted Ducks, 4 Northern Shovelers, 12 Grey Herons, 12 Northern Pintails, 2 Whimbrels, 2 Common Redshanks, 4 Little Herons, 3 Brahminy Kites, so many Common Greenshanks, Great Egrets, Intermediate Egrets, Little Egrets. All within the farm, not including those along the river, along the beach and along the ricefields. Used Canon SX50 HS, 215mm, 0 EV, ISO125, f/8.0, 1/80, handheld, cropped, enhanced using Canon Photo Professional.

I am not an expert on bird id. Its got green legs which is common to the Chinese Egret. Doc Chito, Bong, & I once got photographs of green legged Egrets but it turned out that they were just Little Egrets. I hope Des see this picture and gives us his expert opinion. Good luck Prop Jerry. At any rate it is a good picture to have.

Prop first time I went with you to Ka Intsik we went around looking for a Chinese Egret. If I remember right a Chinese Egret has the gape line finishing just below the center of the eye. Glad to see your photos again.
