Tonji,
Hmmm Cebu its not that good compare to Palawan or Luzon but you can find endemic species found on in the island like Black Shama, Cebu Flowerpecker, Streak-breasted Bulbul, and other subspecies endemic in Cebu. Like our Barbet is different from your Barbet in Luzon same with Elegant Tit, Whistler and many more. And Cebu is unique from the rest of the West Visayas faunal region (Negros Panay) because of these endemic birds. If you want to visit here i'm sure you can get the Shama and other common species not sure about CFP. Just inform us if you want to visit Cebu.
Binot,
Thanks! Yap its not that common but there increasing in numbers. Before its rare and only few are calling but now we have several territories in Nug-as. I've been doing bird surveys in Visayas, Palawan and Mindanao for the past 7 yeasrs now. We are also conducting ecological study in Cebu for a almost a decade now with the Black Shama, Cebu Flowerpecker and now pursuing grad study on Streak Breasted Bulbul. Salamat!
