Hi Renoir,
Yah Ka Romy is right Javan Pond Heron or Chinese Pond Heron, it's very difficult to ID this time since its showing non breeding plumage. Hope to catch this species soon to really study the plumage patterns of both species. Our forest warden in Alcoy Forest in Southern Cebu caught one but they released it in the morning after making a report. Sayang... Maybe next time.
Hope to visit your site soon!
Cheers,
Godo

Sir Bobby is right its non breeding plumage, the key identification mark of the Great Egret is the Gape (opening on the side of the bill is beyond the eyes) while the Cattle Egret ends just under the eyes.

I was cleaning my hard drive an found some shot of an immature Rusty Breasted Cuckoo. The chick is probably less than a year old. I remember observing this bird in a Black Shama nest with a hard working Black Shama's (male and female) both feeding the chick five years ago in Alcoy during the Siloy Project research. Rusty-breasted Cuckoo (Cacomantis sepulcralis) Immature 30D EF100-400 F6.3 1/250s ISO 400 @400mm Hand-held

Hi Toto,
The first pics yah its the Eurasian Curlew. The second pics looks like a flock of Eurasian Curlew i'm not sure with the others in the flock. The third fourth and fifth are Grey-Tailed Tattler. Sixth and the last pics are Grey Plover and the seventh pic is the Red-Necked Stint.
This site is good, two or three hours before high tide and your in the right position with hide like Olango here in Cebu.
Cheers,
Godo
