This is my first post in this forum. I was invited by Rey Sta. Ana to join the group and share some of my photos which I get in my field work in various places in the country. Brown Booby, Coastal areas of Rizal, Zamboanga Del Norte, Mindanao, December 7, 2009 Thanks for viewing.

Wow, amazing details bro, this must be a close capture. I've seen this bird in Bird Island in Tubbataha, years and years ago. I believe we don't have this yet in our image database. Calling Sir Neon, please check.

Yes, this is a first year Brown Booby. Immature plumages always have to be checked because they can resemble. Good find.

Welcome to the Forum. The Booby is known for their ability to dive bomb into the water from a high altitude to get the fish from the ocean. It is a sight to see and if you have the chance to go to the Bird island in Tubbataha it is the place to see them by the hundreds. I heard it is a restricted area now. Very nice capture. Well done Val. Mabuhay.

Super photo. Great bird! Brown Booby, such a cool first post. I think my first post was a Blue-Rock Thrush and a White-throated Kingfisher. A Brown Booby, it looks really close.

Ooooh la, la. I'm not a great fan of coastal birds but I am always transformed by the excellent camera skills - and capture of unusual looking birds- esp. odd feet. I wonder how it walks... telyds

Wow, what a great shot! The feet are so yellow, I was expecting it to have blue feet. This is a female? Glad to have you in the forum Val!
