Except for its tail, this one looks similar to Costa Rica's Squirrel Cuckoo. Well done, Ramon.

I didn't able to get a decent picture of the sooty robin but I hope to be able to go back there again before the year ends and after this rainy season.

Beautiful bird Ariel. The price is worth as long as it's guaranteed for you to see different kinds of birds. We sometimes travel to places just to see a one or two kinds of birds and spend more than that. Thanks Conrad. The $50-3hr limit does not include the meal, unlike in other unlimited places where a $40 fee includes a buffet lunch.

Wow!!! The bird is so near, did he bite? LOL. It is expensive but if there are several kinds of birds it is worth it. What other birds did you see? Beautiful capture, beautiful colors and super sharp. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay. Thanks Ely. Most of the birds that can be seen there are the ones we saw from Dr. Skutch's place. But my target specie there was the crimson-collared tanager which was a no-show. I was also hoping to get a better picture of the keel-billed Toucan but the bird also didn't come. For the fee, I think that the 3-hr limit is just too tight considering that birds are not always guaranteed to come.

Sarapiqui Eco-Observatory park is a new eco-park located in the town of La Virgen in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. The park is intended primarily for bird photographers and was designed by professional photographers living in Costa Rica. Compare to other eco-parks, the fee here is a bit expensive. I paid $50 for a three-hour session to use the covered area with movable feeders. Below is a sample picture of Collared Aracari that I got. 7D+400mm f/5.6L lens, ISO 800, 1/125s

Yes Ely, I got lucky last week when I went to Cerro Lodge. It was the same place when we had lunch after our trip to Carara National Park. During our time there, there wasn't enough bird as it was already late. The staff told me that this bird is a regular visitor every morning.

Inspite of the daily rains, I took a chance to go out this morning and went to Cerro Lodge near Carara National Park. During Ely's trip, we went to this same place but never got anything. I arrived at the lodge around 6:30am, took a couple of pictures in a two-hour span then left when the rain was about to come. All pictures taken using EOS 7D+400mm f/5.6L lens, ISO 400

Beautiful set here, Tina! Compare to Candaba, I think Subic is a place for me. Nice and colorful birds! I'm not that sure if my 400mm is enough there

Wow! First time for me to see a picture of this elusive Spangled-cheek tanager! I don't even know where to find it and I'm glad Alex showed you the way. I have therefore another reason to go back there. Regards!

It was year 2007 when I first photographed this beauty somewhere in the province of Heredia. I was happy to encounter this once again during one of the trips that Ely and I had here in CR. 7d+400mm f/5.6L, ISO 400

Very beautiful set! Costa Rica is home to lovely flycathchers and some of them are truly beautiful such as the Long-tailed Silky.
