thanks sir alain! now that you mentioned it, it does look a bit pale in my monitor as well... could it be too high an ISO setting? i prematurely set the ISO high because it was cloudy and i was shooting under a tree. or is it the white balance? i just realize from the settings info that my WB was in Flash. i used the camera kasi for my mom's bday dinner the previous night and as newbies usually do, i failed to check my settings in teh morning.

cheers!

hi! i got a Bigma last Saturday and I tried it yesterday, shooting at LTS yesterday. there were acceptable shots but even with a monopod, it's still a challenge to keep it still.
what tripod would you recommend for a Bigma mated with a D80 body? where could i get one and what is the price range?
thanks

great shots! the framings are super!!! i was at VE last monday for a day tour. i was not able to take pictures but i did see some birds from the lobby. (including the framed pics of kingfishes, by mastah romy, i believe.)
do they have bird guides in VE? who do i talk to the next time i visit?

wow! the price and added features are interesting. my question would be "Do I try the D90? or Do I go straight to the D300s?"

The second one looks lighter on my screen. i like it. i use spyder express 2 to calibrate my screen.

Thanks Romy!!! I do shoot in RAW. Now I would just have to be mindful during the conversion from raw to jpeg.
Looking forward to birding soonest.

These are great learning materials. My question is:
There is an aRGB and sRGB setting in my camera. I set it in sRGB as advised by a friend before. Supposedly this is the "safer" setting as not all print services offer aRGB. Is that suggestion right?
Would I still be able to render picture taken in sRGB to aRGB at post processing?
I am not sure if I'm making sense...
Thanks in advance...

Incredible!!! The bird pops out like it were alive and am very tempted to touch it, except i'm worried it would fly and be gone from the frame... what a shot!
