Any more shots of the falcon Romy? It doesn't look quite right for a Peregrine to me.

This could well be the first documentation of a nest of this species. The Kennedy guide says only that it is thought to nest in cavities.

It is either a Clamorous or an Oriental Reed Warbler. I can't tell from this shot.

Do you mean the photos were taken at q place called Manila Film center? Where is that? The first bird is Clamorous Reed warbler, the other is White-shouldered Starling

I'd go for Grey-faced Buzzard.

You might get help in getting photos of some of the responsible officials and doing a lampoon of them. In the short term I think it would make a newsworthy item on eg the BBC news website.

Nice pics. Interesting that your first female Copper-throated is in such heavy moult.

Superb photos! Also this looks more like White-headed Stilt. Could you post some of these on fb-Shorebirds? Des

maculatus seems to be rarely photographed, so this looks strikingly different from the Luzon birdds.

The second bird is the endemic race of Island Thrush: ssp katanglad. A recording of the song would be very useful for comparison with other subspecies, especially ssp malindangensis

Great shots, Ely, as usual. I have only seen Bulusan from the west, whence it looks barely forested. It is great to see there is reasonable forest cover on the east side. Perhaps all of the Bicol forest birds are hiding out there, though I would guess hunting and trapping must be extensive. Des

Lovely pics! Does it still occur on Guimaras? Probably to be known in future as Maroon-naped Sunbird, following the split suggested by Hosner et al.

Rare shots of 'Ella's' Fairy Bluebird. The main difference is supposed to be the black back and sides of neck. It looks as though the neck might become black owing to feather wear.
