I got these photos from a birding sortie in Negros early this year. As with most "owling" adventure, these photos were taken very late at night or exactly 10:29PM, February 2013.
The Scops Owls were obviously in its most active state. A night encounter with a nocturnal bird is one of the most rewarding experience for a birder in my opinion.
