Here is the photo of the parent bird feeding its young. I was just imagining how this would have been if presented in HDV. I shot this behavior until my buffer ran out, wish I had a video cam with me. This is the first time I've seen 5 colasisi in one tree! I think Doc mando and Chito were able to get 4 in one frame, I only manage to get 2 1/2..hehehe

Beautiful captures as always Neon. I think you have finally thoroughly tamed the humongous beast, you obviously now have absolutely control. Horay to the Beast Master.

Naku Dingggggg, we were all there this morning taking pictures of the newest celebrity birds - the colasisis and the barbets Sayang. This silly thing called "work" is in the way! Hope you guys didn't attract too much attention. Last thing we want is some enterprising trapper seize the "opportunity." I will probably be there early tomorrow (before work). The Invisible Man will strike once more!

The Invisible Man will strike once more! Hehehehe...even the best camouflage won't make you invisible on this location. Told the locals to watch over the nest and shoo away anybody that they think will harm the birds. They were all astonished to know that there were colorful birds like the colasisi and barbets just in the trees around them, once I showed them, on my camera screen, what we were loco about.

You don't even need a TC on that howitzer Neon! Hehehe..sure Ted!! now where is the nearest loto station, again? ;D Yes, I was just testing how the IQ on my beast would come out with a 2x TC. And reducing the angle by stepping further back makes wonders for cropping and composition. Lost a lot of sharpness due to the crop size but still looks good though ;D. I'm happy how it turned out.

Thanks Rey, It was a long learning curve as I didn't have all the time that I want to to play around with it. Little adjustments in my workflow made wonders as well.

It's a perfect opportunity to build up good credits to the wifey, Ding. It'll increase the chances of her saying "Sure, you can have it." (without buts) when you mention the lens of your dreams. ;D
