At least you got that fantastic super near in your face brahminy kite and the male BRT - I was way too slow because of the weight of the 500mm. My favorite is the Brahminy Kite too

Thank you so much Manny and Ate Lyds Ate Lyds: I am very happy being called plain tina nalang... not even worthy to be called idol kasi nga puro ako hula. Sometimes I get so hiya when I am with the guys and they talk about techinical stuff as in white balance and all - heheheheh oh well such is life. The main thing is that we are enjoying this hobby di ba ;D I was able to take a lot of pictures of the female BRT. The beautiful thing about it is that, it somehow shows different colors at different angles and whenever the light hits it or is in a shaded area.

Thank you so much Adri, Bob (see you next year), Manny, Ate Lyds and William.
I was surprised too that I got this in focus and what's more surprising is that most of the shots in this burst were clear. Must be the adrenaline ;D

Subic never fails to amaze me with it's surprises. That is why Wency and I keep on going back there over and over again. It was made more special because we were with Ate Lyds, Nestor, Adri, Trinket, Linda, Bob and Cynthia. Here are a few of my captures: Philippine Serpent Eagle (calling out like crazy) 40D + 500mm f/4 ; f/8 ; ISO 250 ; 1/320 ; hand held Whiskered Tree Swift40D + 500mm f/4 ; f/8 ; ISO 250 ; 1/200 ; tripod Guaiabero this one suddenly perched at a tree right above me. It was really close 40D + 500mm f/4 ; f/8 ; ISO 320 ; 1/120 ; tripod

Wency and I were in Subic for 2 weekends in October and at both times, we were allowed to go birding at Nabasan and the Botanic/Hill 394 area. I just told the guard that I was going bird watching and he let me pass through right away.
