I took this photo in Camiguin Island (Sur). BK Valley bug that birds in the area feast on. Egrets feeding on frogs, fish, bugs that the Candaba farmer was tilling. Another BK Valley bug...stick bug. Gray Herons in Candaba Swamp. More to come.

Lyd, my gear is a beginner's camera: Nikon CoolPix P90/ 110mm...Withh this camera, I really have to be real close to the birds to get a good photo. Kaunting tiyaga, I get good shots at times. See you at BK...Tito Poch

Lyd, hopefully the MVF will be close enough this coming cool weather. If you remember, MVFs perch on the trees closest to the BK view deck.

Lyd, the tree as of now is not fruiting. Hopefully this rainy season it will bear fruits. You'd see several species of birds in the tree...White-eyes, Phil. Bulbuls, Citrine Canary-Flycatchers, Yellow-vented Bulbuls, Elegant Tits, etal. The tree can be seen on the left side of Ramon's view deck, about 50 meters away. We'll let you know asap when it starts fruiting....Tito Poch

Thank you for the info on the bird being in breeding plumage. Being a novice, I wouldn't know the difference. But I'm learning....Tito Poch.
