One thing I noticed, too, (based on my photos) of the Sulfur-billed Nuthatch is its prominently protruding vent. BTW, the bird guide book at page 246 does not give a description of the SBN, but the Velvet-fronted Nuthatch. Has the name been changed? Nagtatanong lang.

Lydia, I would appreciate reserving one copy for me. When are you going to BK Valley again? The pocketbook size will save me on weight (KB Guide). Thank you.....Tito Poch.

The mosquito (1st photo) looks like a dengue mosquito, based on the stripes on the belly. Nice photos, Mark.

Makes one want to hold the white-eyes, but, of course, impossible. At my age of 76, the crowing of the rooster in the background reminded me of my youthful days in Pangasinan. REALLY WOW video.

This is a house in BK Valley with a view deck facing the forest and the valley below where the mixed flocks of birds come to feed and roost, and even build their nests.

Hi Nestor...Is this "Mariquit" over at Villa Escudero? I seem to recognize the rock the Indigo-banded Kingfisher is perched on. I was there last month with Ramon Quisumbing, Lydia Robledo, Rey Sta.Ana, and Alain Pascua. Beauty, if I must say so!...jmcdelprado (Tito Poch).

Nice shot, Jason. If we had Bubulis at BK Valley, they'd be bloated with all the insects & bugs in the area!

Coleto was peering into another nest. Its nest was just under it where I saw it enter.
