as long as there is a body of water that is a "controlled environment", no winds, waves etc we can use the floating blind. i can't wait to use it in other places

its a good thing i wore a full wet suit because a leech the size of a small turtle was bothering me the whole time. i bought a "lock and lock" compartment and attached it inside the blind so that i can store my gear there without getting wet before taking pics. also wore a life vest just in case something happens and i'm not able to float on my own. the closest i got to the ducks was approximately 60 meters. sad to say though, i saw a guy setting up a trap for the ducks. he didn't notice me inside the blind. i was able to take pics of him

today was my "test drive" of my floating blind which i had made by our carpenter. before taking it out on the water i simulated and tested the blind in my swimming pool, making sure it was stable in all sorts of conditions. i used some ballast to simulate the weight of my gear and even that of a 500 f4 which hopefully i will get to own someday. here's some pics from todays trip

although the pic was taken far away, i love the intensity of the CK's action here where it was about to dive for a fish ;D

i agree bobby with the difference with the beaks. it was such a sight to see the couple harassing a male kestrel yesterday
