Woohoo! Love the light and composition. Never saw anything as "dramatic" on something as simple as a "ducklike" thing. All that blood you lost to the leeches have now been repaid. So that's what Manny was doing standing by the pond. And I thought he was just laughing (like me) at that floater that looked like a ridiculous pile of trash coasting into the ducks! kumbaga sa rally driving, may navigator na kailangan when you're inside the "blind".... blind works both ways... haha

Glad you liked the "view" ;D I just checked the default settings in Lightroom and yup, you're spot on that its in Adobe RGB rather than SRGB which is my usual default for web pics. Just shows how "green" I am in using Lightroom. Hehe! Thanks again Romy!

what looks like a palawan titmouse??? Hi Meillana, Let's see. Palawan Titmouse. A bird that I have never heard of before, so I guess that I will exclude it. EDIT: Yes, I do know what you are talking about - Just Tit (not Titmouse) and don't worry because the other thing (the woman's appanage) is spelled differently - perhaps that is why you did not want to use the word. I want everybody to raise their hands if they think this is a Bulbul! I want everybody to raise their hands that think this is Pycnonotus atriceps! The tail conformation and color distribution, coupled with the color of the head and primaries, and the chunky body, should leave no doubts. hi steve, manny here. for what its worth, i actually got that name fom the "a guide to the birds of el nido", text by juan carlos gonzales and illustrations by nilo geronimo. and i quote.... palawan titmouse parus ambilislocal name: kasisiroy identifiaction: 10-11cm; head, neack and throat black with bluish gloss, wings black with white patches forming brood bars, underparts pale yellow, female: back greenish, crown and throat duller black similar specie : black-headed bulbul status: fairly common endemic range: endemic to the palawan islands habitat: forests and forest edge

also got to see a lot of these sub-species of OBS's at first glance thought it was a different sunbird note the reddish-orange tint on the breast between the blue and yellow portions.... kind of unfortunate not to have been able to get up close to these small and skittish guys......
