Hello guys, As the Master himself cued, I am opening a new poll to get feedback and inputs from all of you. Aside from your answer, you may also post some suggestions for the PBP logo. All suggestions are welcome! This poll will last for two weeks or if we get a majority vote, even less. The Master also hinted of a possible prize just in case this logo contest pushes through... ;D |

I was thinking of donating the Sigmonster (EOS mount) as a prize, Eric. But since many of us are Nikonians, digiscopers or users of other camera systems, I'd think this would be unfair. So I've to come out with another prize... ;D ;D ;D Romy

51 views and only 6 votes. Come on guys, tell us what you think. Don't worry this poll is anonymous and we won't know who voted for No. (If you just dare to.... Hehehe) Just kidding, this poll is really anonymous. :-)

I'll try to whip up some logo studies over the holiday break. Come to think of it, I've already done a logo that has a camera and a bird in it: www.fabilioh.com/

Thanks Tina and Wency! I had to alter the silhouette of the camera to please the Canonites in the ASS. My original one looked too much like a Nikon.

Thanks Romy! I'm going to have fun designing 'em. Wow, this is great TJ. Now we just give you some inputs. 1. Eagle is commonly used in logos and coat of arms. 2. Ducks are difficult to shoot primarily because they are the only big game in the locality so a good candidate. 3. The sunbirds and flowerpeckers are the real challenge. Almost a third of our endemics I think are small birds. 4. We usually use long teles at least 400mm 5. A logo should be easy to recognize in color or black and white. 6. We can use it in T-Shirts, Letterhead, pins etc easily. Ayan, madami na ako input... hehehe Now the challenge is to put these into a simple logo ;D ;D ;D

I foolishly thought that I'd have more time during the holiday to make some designs, but it wasn't the case. No submission yet, but will try to submit something soon. Sorry about that!

Hello guys, Don't submit anything yet as we will come up with design guidelines first. Plus, submission will be done anonymously. But if you really feel like going to the canvas, here are some more suggestions that came up: 1. Logo should be minimalistic, ie, the logo itself when used even without the words "Philippine Bird Photography" and will still depict the group. 2. Limit to 3 colors. 3. As much as possible, don't use photos so that the logo will have clean edges and will be printable or "embroider-able" on shirts, caps, etc. That's it for now. Will have to consult with the forum staff on other guidelines.

Question. Why a foundation? Is there a plan to register PBP with SEC? A foundation requires P1M even for non-profit, P500 for a Society - I am not updated on this though. telyd
