I arrived late at Hardin this morning and saw Rey, Mando and Ding already in the middle of the rice field stalking the Black-winged Stilts. Not knowing Doc Mando's secret passage to the rice field, I contented myself with whatever came my way. Here's my UP set for today. Here is one we photographed yesterday. This species indicate that there just might be the presence of the narcissus flycatcher, the asian brown flycatcher, or the ferruginous flycatcher. This has been taken with a 3.2 megapixel Canon A70 Powershot at 5.6, 1/160, ISO50 coupled with a Bausch & Lomb spotting scope at 15x.

Some of the Hardin "staples" were out today: White-breasted Waterhen, Common Mooren, and an assortment of the white-eyes, kingfishers, flyeaters, and shrikes. There were seven Cattle Egrets that paid us a visit which William and I tried to stalk while Mando waited at teh sidelines.
