mam lyds, those are nice captures in limited lighting. maked me wonder why nowadays (summer) i see no kingfishers at hardin. WHA?!?! mam lyds posting at 1:48am !!! THANKS Armand. Took those early morning before a meeting. That kingfisher I think is always there in the morning since this the 4th time I've been there and I've always heard/seen it- the trees across the Vargas Museum, side of the Cordillera coffee shop. In Hardin, I always see it, too, but just a dot. I have seen the big diff. with a 20D and 400D which I recently tried. I am thinking of getting a 450D. I like a lighter camera. My diamond pendant is for sale. Ahi-hi. No joke. I like a big black chunk kind of a pendant. One that I can wear everyday and be happy.

Wow, I know there's a lot of birds in the campus, but I never knew there's exotic ones too.
This is close to where my parents live, and where I stay whenever I visit our homeland.
I guess I'll be spending time there for my next vacation, maybe early 2010.

ate lyds, my pics are heavily cropped and too grainny compared to the masters. thanks sir rey. Unfortunately the pitta decided to move when i took its picture. this is the only usable image i got despite being lucky enough to use the tripod+gimbal of sir neon and doc chito. btw, i have seen the pitta only thrice after that. all fleeting moments. and i haven't been on site for almost a month now. hmm, maybe i could check it out one of these days.

Many monies do not exactly spell happiness but just looking at many munias like those you posted certainly add joy to my day. YOu have great advantage. You live right where you can monitor the munias. Cheerps. telyds

Neoooon, I noticed that there other postings of UP birds in different locations. I think it is about time the thread has it's own name. Some members do not see it. Or maybe suggest that all UP birds photo copies should be sent also to the UP Birds thread under BIRDING PLACES. I am really so awed by the density of birds in UP. This will also help identify the birds that can be exhibited and notify/invite the owner of the pic to join the exhibit.

sir neon, i got lucky that a pair of white bellied munias landed in a nearby brush while doing my rounds at hardin. telyds, i am excited with the exhibit. but i dunno if my pics are good enough for printing beyond index card sizes.
