I also use Astring-o-sol or Listerine to ward off mosquitos. It smells better and it is not sticky. You can also try it, it works! I actually prefer it over Citronella lyd

I suggest you switch to citronella... organic. Human Nature has good products. I guess wildlife will not shy away from organic herbal concoctions. It is even good for your skin than chemicals telyds

Those are all fantastic shots, Prof. Tirso. In addition to Makiling Botanical Garden (by Molawin Creek) and Villa Escudero, you'd see the IBKF in Majayjay, all in Laguna. In my butterfly watching trip by the falls more than 5 years ago, the IBKF fascinated me, too. When it flew in near me, I thought it was a butterfly. It was very close, that I could not take a shot and just had to watch. Another place with so many IBKF, (we counted more than twenty) was in Ipo Dam. It was so common and so close but you need to shoot from the banca. It is a very pretty bird that even if you have fantastic shots of it, it's irresistible when you see it. It's fit to be a celebrity bird. It was great to see and talk to you in the party. telyds

Bob and Cynthz, Just imagine if it was a good day of sunshine in Puerto Princesa. So with this bountiful harvest on a rainy day, you surely will keep going back to Palawan. By doing what you love twogether, it is always panalo. God is good :)lyd

Impressive passion for the birds and habitat of Capayas Creek. So bird watchers are welcome. I will plant the host vine (I have lots) for the Trogonoptera Trojana butterfly (endemic to Palawan), close to the creek to attract the birdwings. Then I will be welcomed, too.

Prof. Tirso, where the couple in a fight? Perhaps a passionate fight? Whatever, one thing sure is your passion for buttonquails. I'll drink to that, bottoms-up for your great button quail series.

Beautiful treasures. BK Valley is a beautiful, rich place. Ramon, maybe we need to find out from the experts about the post nesting habits of the birds. It may be possible that nests are used more than once or other birds borrow it... just so we are sure that after the nest is emptied, it is ok to handle the nests. lyd
