GREAT GREAT NEWS! CONGRATS MAM! question: where could it possibly came from?Malaysia/Taiwan? etc.thanks. The probable origin? I would give you 100-1 odds that this bird is from the southeast Chinese population of the nominate race leucorodia, that habitually winters in Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong. Actually I would make the odds about a million to 1!

Thanks a lot Bob. Was just lucky that the spoonbill decided to say hello while I was daydreaming if I should eat my breakfast already or not. Something told me to put if off a while longer and when I looked up, I saw the spoonbill approaching from the left side so that's when I reached for my camera and just started shooting until I couldn't anymore because it was far off to the right side of the field already
