Well, I went back to Jugan to further test the Tamron 150-600 G2. I am still not fully convinced about the AF reliability of this lens with the 80D ... I have noticed that @ 600 mm, the lens seems to back-focus a lot, but when the 550mm and below FL settings are used, it tends to front focus a bit on my 80D. The Tap-in console should help, but I'll have to wait till it's available. Also, the VR is not as smooth as that of the Sigma Sports, but the weight of that Sigma lens just really turns me off. Anyway, if the focus is nailed, it does give good details and the colors and contrast from this lens seems to beat my Sigma 150-600 Sports. I am waiting for the Tap-in Console to arrive and will do further tests on the Tammy when it comes. Tonality looks good to me Ka Bobby, but I can't help much on the WB. Nice detail.... the raised tarsus adds a lot to the composition.

Here's a link to a site which can help determine if your calibration is in the ballpark. It's a bit dated, but the quick visual tests are still valid. www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
