I was inspired by birding buddies Tonji and Sylvia's BIF photos of the Philippine Eagle, so I decided to try my luck. Thanks to fellow WBCP member Pete Simpson for taking our group up to the eagle site and making all the necessary arrangements. Thanks Pete for the great company! In the group were follow bird photographers Tateo san and Tito Arbatin. Finally seeing and photographing the Philippine Eagle in the wild was a dream come true. What a breathtaking experience! Here are my BIF photos of the King! The Philippine Eagle is my 200th photo lifer. Philippine Eagle ( Pithecophaga jefferyi)Mt. It is the thrill of a lifetime to see the Philippine Eagle in the wild, especially since it is also our national bird. To have the forest as a background is an added bonus. Well done Mike & Mabuhay.

Excellent images.
I think your mentor JP will be quite pleased with these shots. And you do know he is difficult to satisfy.
I am viewing your photos on the way to a birding site, hopefully they will inspire us to get some nice shots.
Congrats.
