I had a few hours free last long weekend and visited Nabasan trail in Subic. I was rewarded with these:

thanks everyone! it's been a while. we have been a bit busy with work. i am hoping november and december would be less toxic.
the malkohas seem to be thriving. they were crisscrossing the trail. hard to capture though as they would perch high up in the canopy most of the time.
the wtkf is very cooperative. under the foliage but very steady.
We were in Subic and yet we never bumped into each other. Yes the malkohas seem to be thriving in Subic. So many of them and that includes the rufous coucals who are always with the malkohas whenever I see them. I think I saw about 5 of them over the weekend.
It's really great to see you photographing birds again Gabs. Looking forward to more of your photos.
