Birding this season has been few and far between. I had a chance to do some birding in Plantation Bay, Lapu-Lapu City. That is certainly a good looking pair of Pink-necked Green Pigeon. It is difficult to get a good exposure when the light is uneven on the subject but this turned out very well. At 1/3200 sec. your wings are frozen stiff. Well done Gabs & Mabuhay.

thanks ely.... the sun in lapu lapu seem harsh all day... the little acacia leaves don't help as it allows rays of light all over the bird. but then, we take what we can...
guilty of overspeeding, officer. i boosted the ISO and just adjusted the speed as needed. given the bright background, i did not even realize i was hitting 1/3200. should probably bring down ISO to 1000 or 800 in future BIF attempts, hahaha...
it's all good. am just sorry i was not able to cross to olango. i understand the anniversary of Magellan's death caused massive traffic and would have rendered attempting to go futile.
cheers!

Hi Sir Gabs. Nice photos of the resort birds. I hope we can go to Olango this July.

Sir Luisito, I will make sure I make the crossing to Olango in July. I just hope there would be birds at that time of year.
Mark, the pink-neckeds perched on an open view but I didn't have my gear with me. By the time I got my gear out, they have moved under the acacia canopy. Lesson learned... bring your gear even at breakfast.
Thanks Prof. Tirso and Michael!!!
