This bird could be the same one as last year and look at how it has matured. Well done Neon & Mabuhay.

Wonderful images Neon. Thanks for sharing the difference between with NR and without NR. 5DmkIII is making a statement. " I CAN SEE IN THE DARK "

Thanks a lot Ely, Tateo, Doc Clem, Prop Gerry, Ariel, Den, Michael, Plain Idol Tina, Bob, Mick, Mark, Doc William. Even maxing out the ISO the shots are still usable, the 5D3 is really great for low light shooting. Glad to be birding again, hope I can do it more often. :-)

Yep. That gear takes fantastic photos.
But takes a great photographer to tame such a powerful beast.
That second shot's really crisp and spot-on. Even the legs coming out of DOF added some drama.

Thanks Ding, Sylvia and Godo! Now that I'm in prison I have more time to check my captures. Here's a near full frame shot with lower ISO. f8, 0.8 sec, ISO 400, Tv priority +1/3 EV

The second image is the only advertisement one would need if in any doubt as to the 5DMk3 iso capabilities - 12800?!! - a really solid image Neon
