Hi,
Today (4:00PM) me and my wife went out to Mt. Makiling to shoot for birds but unfortunately couldn't find any other species aside from sparrow and shrike :-). One reason could be that we are beginner in bird photography, and we're just learning. And I just learned that Dec-Jan are the best months to shoot for birds (is it correct? in Makiling? and 4PM is the ideal time?)
Note that we've covered most of the lower campus as well as some parts of the upper campus. Went behind Animal Science compound but there's really no bird to shoot at.
Any advise, guides, trails that we could read, follow to help us get started :-) Possibly shoot some bird aside from heron-"tagak" and sparrow-"maya" :-)
Thanks, Edward Legaspi

Edward, the best person to connect with is Prof. Tirso. Check out his thread. He's got quite a collection from UPLB and it seems those birds are always there. telyds
