All the birds species captured by Tonji and Sylvia at Tubbataha are BPOTW material because of the rarity of local capture and the fine aesthetics.
I chose this one (by a hair over the rare CI Frigatebird) becaused I'm a biased BIF guy. ;D
Congrats Tonji on the fantastic BIF shot!

Big congrats on a well deserved recognition Tonj. The details, wing spread and the angle of the capture made this an excellent BIF photograph.

Excellent choice for the BPOTW, Ka Mastah. I have to agree, BIF's have their own impressive way of presenting our avian friends. :-)

Congratulations Tonji. Somehow it looks like the bird has a smile on its beak. This seems to be the expression of most ducks. Well done & Mabuhay.

Wow BFOTW. Thanks Romy. It is always nice to get photo of the week. Thanks also for taking the time to discuss my equipment before our trip. It is always good to get tips from the master. Thanks also Rey, Edu, Bobby, Ely, Tita Tina, and Alain. I hope you guys get to go next. Lets see if that the tour to the reef will push thru so others can get a chance to see the birds and take photos.

This is indeed a tough choice for Romy... Big Congrats Tonji and thanks to you and Sylvia for showing us the bird wonders of this remote seabird colony.
