Very happy with my new Benro C298n6 tripod legs mated with my Manfrotto 3421 gimbal head.
Problem is, the mating must've been too good I can't remove the head from the legs anymore. I recall just screwing in the head into the legs with the usual hand-torqued twist. I'm about to use WD40 and/or a spanner wrench and/or a pipe wrench on it but thought someone here may have been in this same predicament with a less savage solution.
Help!

Solved!
Tried to think about how I screwed on the head and remembered I did it with the tripod standing up, hence torque in tightening was increased by my grip on the tripod's adjustment screws. Silly me, I was trying to unscrew the head with the center column detached so I was just gripping on the center column (not the tripod).
Well, tried unscrewinng the head the same way I screwed it in and it came off.

Great that you've sorted it out.... I was about to offer major surgery, something that involves oxy-acetylene torch and steel mallets.... ;D

Hahaha, I had the same experience when Romy handed me his tripod's ballhead.
