I dunno if my ID is correct but here is the shot! Philippine Hawk-Cuckoo (Cuculus pectoralis) Canon 50D, EF 400mm f5.6L, Handheld Shot @ f5.6, 1/400", ISO320 Philippine Hawk-Cuckoo (Cuculus pectoralis) Canon 50D, EF 400mm f5.6L, Handheld Shot @ f5.6, 1/320", ISO320 I was supposed to look for the Oriental Cuckoo that has been modeling with fellow birdnuts the past weeks but those were no shows. I got another Cuckoo instead. This is my 166th lifer. Taken this morning @ UP Diliman with Edwin Matias and supposedly with Jun Osana (but he left earlier). Nice meeting you sir Edwin

Beautiful catch Toto. Big congrats to you.
This species is now considered an endemic. It's split from the Hodgson's and is now called Philippine Hawk-Cuckoo (Cuculus pectoralis)
