These pictures were taken in 2009 at Coron. I wanted to see the difference of how I PP the pictures than and now. May I have your critique on these pictures.

Hi Ely, the photos are not showing in my browser? I don't know how they disappeared but I have placed them back.

Both are excellent captures, very well processed Ely!
Superb detail, composition, sharpness, eye contact and colors on the first. I particularly like the pleasing transition from the focused parts to the slightly out of focus areas - the mark of very fine optics. This is a 5-star environmental photo for me.
No. 2 is similarly very nice, but I'd probably tone down the hot areas on the throat and at the tip of the blossoms.

No. 2 is similarly very nice, but I'd probably tone down the hot areas on the throat and at the tip of the blossoms. Although I am quite happy with the pictures, I still feel I have not done everything right. This is the reason that I submit my pictures to this critique corner because I need a knowledgeable and authoritative person like you who can tell me what is wrong and what is right and more importantly what measures to take to make the picture more aesthetically pleasing to a trained eye. I will follow your suggestions on the second picture and see if I can get a passing review from an objective critique who has helped me improve my bird photography. I hope that this corner will also help others who are also trying like me to keep on improving on our photos. Thank you Romy & Mabuhay.
