I was about to delete this blurry BIF capture yesterday when I noticed that the tiny bird is actually about to catch its meal in mid-air! Taken at Morong, Bataan - 1DM2 + 400 5.6L, hand held, upressed to 175% of actual pixels: The closest match I can come up with is Glossy Swiftlet ( Collocalia esculenta). I hope there's enough info in the photo for Steve or others to pin the ID.

First blurred shot I saw from you, master. But astounding, nonetheless.

Looks like it's the Glossy Swiftlet the white rumped endemic race Collocalia esculenta marginata I was surprised to have pulled this one off with a 1.4x TC on!! 40D + 300 f4 IS + Kenko 1.4x TC, f5.6, 1/600 sec, ISO 400, Hand held:

Will have a look - but maybe you should remind me later. I still have to look at those other Swift photos that you took - just can't remember where they are. Remind me in a couple of weeks - I have ordered the Swift monograph by Chanter, but just a couple of days ago so it will take a little while to get to me.
