I got so excited when I saw this huge bittern that I concentrated on shooting stills, which in itself was tough to do given the bird's shyness and great distance. As an afterthought, I sneaked in a solitary clip and it turned out shaky because I was using a bean bag. But heck, it's the only footage of this bird filmed in-habitat in our islands that I know of. ;D ___________________________________ Great Bittern ( Botaurus stellaris, rare migrant) Habitat - Wetlands, prefers fresh water reed beds and marshes Shooting Info - Candaba wetlands, Pampanga, Philippines, November 25, 2009, 5D2 + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4x TC, 700 mm, bean bag.
