When we go on out of town birding trips out luggage has a difficult life. Our camera bags are always on our backs but our luggage sometimes gets transported on the roof of a van, the back of a truck, a tricycle, a jeep or even on a horse. The bags get exposed to sun, rain, wind and mud. When doing these out of town trips some thought must also be given to our non-camera bags. Who wants to arrive at camp or in the lodge with wet clothes? I noticed its important to have waterproof luggage when traveling around. My clothing and other stuff bag is the Pacific Outdoor Expedition Duffel. Super water and mud proof. I got it in ROX. pacoutdoor.com/global-commute/view/expedition-duffelHere it is behind Sylvia strapped to a horse. Notice the rainclouds in the back. Ah yes it rained. But my gear was nice and dry. Nicky uses the North Face Base Camp Duffel which Sylvia also just got based on the glowing recommendation from Nicky. They both use the size large. www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/base-camp-duffel.htmlThats Nicky's well used bag on top of the pick-up.
