This post is in relation to Tateo San's post regarding waders with flags. I had shared the other e-mails I received from diff. organizations regarding Tateo's find. I sent the the request for information to Mr. Phil Straw first and this was his reply. Obviously, he has alerted the other concerned organizations that was why I received a couple of e-mails. Now here is Mr. Straws request: Dear Lydia, Thank you very much for your very important flag sightings of birds banded and flagged in China and New Zealand. Please send any others you and your forum members see/photograph in future, even if you think it is the same birds you see each time. I have forwarded this email to the people who put the flags and bands on the birds as well as our colour flag sighting coordinator. You will receive a more detailed report on each of these birds. I see that you are not on the email address list of the Asia Pacific Shorebird Network. May I add your name to our mailing list? You will then occasionally receive 'news alerts' of news items on issues relating to shorebirds (see our website address below). I can also add any of your forum members who would also like to be on our list. We are about to do a major overhaul of the site to make it more interesting for people to visit. Thank you again for taking the time and effort to contact us.
