this doesn't have RAW. :-( Not by default, you'd have to hack it's firmware. The latest firmwares will be released a few weeks after this product is released: chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDKA few Canon folks are working with some fanboys to make PowerShots with DIGIC processors shoot RAW and other fun stuff.

this really makes my S3 with 1.7 TC very senior citizen. if this baby is good at ASA 400 and 800 it will be a nice lightweight-everyday and bring along anywhere camera for many, including birdwatchers.
S3 is no good for birding beyond asa 200 but good at shutter speeds of 1/10,000-40,000. CHDK is super great!
