Hi everyone! ok, excited na ako. Are there a lot of opportunities during this time of the year (June)? Where are the places to visit in Luzon?
I'm hoping to go birding w. some of the group members (hey Romy!) while I'm there.
I'm going through this list in my mind:
1) Makiling 2) Candaba when I visit relatives in San Fernando (not sure how far this is from the poblacion) 3) Avilon Zoo? when I'm w. the in-laws in Marikina; nice excuse; worth it? 4) Subic when I'm w. the in-laws touring; nice excuse again 5) Makati - anything there? 6) UP - not sure; just familiar w. the ikot area and the old IMC and Area 1. 7) Zambales - Tina Mallari had some excellent photos; I'm curious to visit and since I'm in Subic already... 8) Batangas - anything there? 9) Cavite? 10) Ayala Alabang - whereabouts in AA?
I also plan to do the walking tour of Intramuros, etc. just to see it from a photographer's eye--early morning or late afternoon.
All of these I plan to squeeze in three weeks in between family reunions and seeing old friends.
Ambitious ba masyado? Any tips would be much appreciated.

10) Ayala Alabang - whereabouts in AA? Re : Ayala Alabang - there are lots of areas inside the village that's good for birding. Just make sure you put OFF lotion before you go birding since there are a lot of plants in the parks and beside the creeks - hiding places of the mosquitos/es

While I was surrendering my license at the main gate, the security guard saw my camera and warned me that picture taking around the village is not allowed. He then warned me that the security personnel were ordered to reprimand any violators. As such, you might want to check with the AAVA office before you do any picturing around Alabang.

I guess picture taking is not allowed if one is a visitor but if you are a resident or with a resident, there should be no problem at all.
The guards see me all the time and they don't bother me at all. They just greet me and go on their way.
A lot of the residents here are paranoid ... HEhEHehEHe just don't point your camera towards their houses so that they won't think that you're spying on them or something.
So many crimes happening nowadays even in our own villages so we can't blame both the residents and the security personnel for being scared, paranoid or strict about certain things.
