I like the batch file renaming feature of Adobe Bridge. I always rename my files in the format YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_NN where NN is a sequential number which I use to prevent two files having the same name (in case I managed to shoot more than 1 keeper in 1 second).
Now, I want to do the same with all my photos (birds or otherwise) and would like to do it on the Mac since it's the one I have with me most of the time.
Does anyone know of a renaming program that can do this? i.e., extract shooting date and time info from EXIF and use it as par of the filename?
And please don't ask me to buy Photoshop for the Mac, too...not a rich man.

Ding explore the 'Custom Name' when you export to JPEG within Aperture 3.
