Phew! Just got back form Singapore last week and I'm still just barely catching my breath. I thought Manila Weather was already scorching, but Singapore was ten times hotter! These were taken in Singapore Botanic Gardens. While my girlfriend was busy raiding the malls of Singapore, I was able to sneak an hour's worth of birding. Many thanks to Con Foley for pointing me to where the birds are and muchos salamas also to JP, who brought me there and egged me to bring my gear. I noticed that the Hooded Pitta is slightly different from what we have here in the area of the top of the head it has a brown patch of feathers whereas the one we have here is all black. For an hour of work those are really beautiful pictures. Well done Martin. Mabuhay.

Thanks everyone! I find that Birding in Singapore is easier compared to here in our islands, which kinda makes you think of more creative captures and compositions. I hope to get get back there soon as I had much fun during that hour.

Many thanks everyone! That crimson was a big bonus for me. I went to the heliconia walk, hoping to catch some Olive-Backed Sunbirds. Instead of the usual OBS, this little guy showed up for a little snack before dinner. This was shot a little before 6 in the evening.
