After getting directions, I went by Edu's Swamp in Valenzuela and saw the the Black-crowned Night-Herons in love. 1. Attraction Canon 40D FD 300mm 2.8l 2x canon FD TC iso 400 1/200 f5.6 2.then SEX- yes! it's that fast in the bird world 1dMk2 sigma 50-500mm 500mm iso 800 1/250 f8 handheld 3. Of course, after that the problem really starts- chicks. Nest Building- one stick at a time. Canon 1dMk2 sigma 50-500 500 iso 800 1/250 f8 handheld Canon 1dMk2 sigma 50-500 500 iso 800 1/320 f8 handheld 4. Happily it's a joint effort by Dad and Mom- Passing the stick to mom to build the nest. Canon 1dMk2 sigma 50-500 500 iso 500 1/160 f7.1 handheld It was educational and inspiring to see how these herons work in putting each stick to make the nest. I hope you enjoyed this as I enjoyed watching nature at its best. Thank you to Edu for the tip and directions. Cheers Chito

great series Doc! It's a great season to go there as since the herons are all well groomed and beautiful as they are courting mates.

The passion of a bird photographer does not let an opportunity like this get away without capturing the "Moment". Well done Chito. Mabuhay.
