You are well rewarded for doing your chores. If you enjoyed it like I do than its even more enjoyable. Those are real close and personal. The BCNH is like an ugly duckling when its not yet mature. When matured its really a beautiful bird like the beautiful swan that the duckling turned into. The PSH is almost identical to the one I took in Candaba. Even the shape and bush looks so similar. You must be grinning from ear to ear. Congatulation on the beautiful capture. Well done Edu. Mabuhay.

Thanks Glenn, full framers are rare but almost guaranteed to be nice. Yes Sir Ely, the swamphen showed itself for about 20 seconds, just enough for me to capture a few images and a 10second video. Still grinning up to now Thank you sir Rey, your kind words serves as an inspiration to be better DocChito, thank you so much for the compliment and the IDHelp on the gulls Thanks renoir. That place has more than 50 of these species.. nests and all! Sir Neon, I just love how you can convey emotions with posts. Partner Gabs! Saturday?

Hi Edu! Great Pics! and that Purple Swamphen is a nice surprise!
BTW, I have volunteered to the WBCP to report unusual and interesting records (especially in new locations) of birds. I think this swamphen is good addition to the database of bird records in the Philippines. Would you mind PM-ing me the exact location (if possible down to the barangay level) and the number of individuals seen of this swamphen? Any other interesting birds there?
To Master Romy and all the moderators, this request also goes to all fellow birdnuts! The WBCP will not use the photo but all the credit of finding the bird will go to the photog. Thanks!
Cheers, Adri

Excellent shots, Edu. It confirms the notion that our camera gear should always be handy even if doing a common chore as marketing.
